THE ENVIRONMENT
Stewardship of the natural environment is our first priority. The Estate went into Entry Level Stewardship in 2005 and into Higher Level Stewardship across the whole Estate in 2010. A major restoration of riverbanks on the Kennet, water meadows and a Site of Special Scientific Interest is now largely complete. More than three and a half miles of new fencing have been erected and more than three miles of new and infill hedges have been planted since 2009.
